Bambi

Female – 13kg – 10 months (DOB approx May 28th 2025)

Bambi’s story began in a way no puppy deserves. She was dumped when she was still tiny, and at some point before she was rescued, part of her paw had been cut off .

When she arrived, the little foot that remained looked just like a baby fawn’s — and that’s how she got her name.

Despite everything she went through so early in life, Bambi is slowly learning that the world can be kind.

In her foster home, she has blossomed into a sweet, gentle little soul. Once she feels
safe, her true personality shines through: she’s affectionate, calm, and happiest when she’s close to her humans. Most of the time you’ll find her curled up beside someone on the couch, quietly asking for love and cuddles, or simply keeping her people company.

The outside world can still feel big and scary for her, and she’s taking her time learning to trust it. Because of this, Bambi will need a patient adopter who understands that confidence takes time and who is happy to let her move at her

own pace.

She would likely do best in a home with another kind, gentle dog to help show her the ropes, or a human with lots of time, patience, and love to help her continue building confidence.

Bambi enjoys playing with other dogs, especially ones who are calm and not too big or overwhelming for her. But more than anything, she adores her people — she loves being near them, relaxing together, and soaking up affection.
Bambi is proof that even the most fragile hearts can learn to trust again. She doesn’t need a perfect home — just a patient, loving one where she can continue discovering that she is finally safe.

She rides well in the car, sleeps in a crate when necessary, just as scared of cats as they are of her and will love any kids who are gentle with her.

She’s learning walks aren’t leading her to be dumped, and slowly is gaining confidence but is scared on busy roads and loud noises out on walks. Her human will need to understand shedoesn’t need huge walks, but slow and steady will suit her very well.

If you’re the kind of person who believes in second chances and quiet victories, Bambi is your girl.
