Gizmo – Adopted

Wire-hair terrier mix – 8 months old. 5 kilos.

Woof! Woof! (hello in puppy speak). I am Gizmo! I am a mini-schnauzer/wired-hair terrier mix. I am around 8 months old in Sept. and weigh around 5 kilos. I will be a small/medium-small dog. I am smart, playful, and VERY loving. My foster mommy says I look like a little stuffed animal. She constantly tells me I am the cutest doggie she has ever seen (I am not kidding – she really does say this).

In addition to being adorable, I am also super-duper smart. I know how to sit for a treat and come when I’m called. I am also potty-trained. My favorite thing in the world is to be held like a baby and have my tummy rubbed. I am an active puppy, but not hyper. I LOVE toys to play with, carry around, and chew on. I am AMAZING with other doggies and kitties. I would be great with children of all ages. I don’t puppy nip, but when I get excited, I do jump up and puppy mouth. But hopefully I can be trained/grow out of this soon. I love treats and am very food motivated to learn. I don’t bark a lot – but I do bark if I hear a strange noise or if someone comes to the house. But I am a good boy who will be quiet when I am told to be.

I came from a terrible home where I was forced to sleep in the mud and rain. I was never held or allowed in the house. They would kick and hit me, and even threw things at me. When my foster mommy rescued me, I was very scared every time she tried to touch me because I thought she would hit me like the bad people. However, after a few days of love and affection, now I know that not all people will hurt me. Now, I love being petted, held, and given lots of hugs and kisses. I am very affectionate, and my foster mommy calls me “snuggle bug.”Because I had never had love before, I became attached to my foster mom. So, when she first leaves the house, I do cry and whine for a little bit. That is why I would do best in a home with another playful doggie to keep me company. I would be great at the dog park and on puppy play dates as well. I can be a little shy with new people at first, especially men. However, once they give me a treat or rub my belly, we are best friends. 😊

I am so thankful to my foster mommy for rescuing me. Not only did she finally teach me what love is, she also took me to the vet and made sure that I’m healthy too!! I am neutered, vaccinated, dewormed. I am also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

Everyone who meets me says I am very cute and lots of fun. My foster mommy says whoever adopts me will be the luckiest person/family in the world. Please consider giving me a furever home. 💜 🐾
