Luna is still in Cancun at a foster “Luna, but we had to rescue her using a humane trap because she was extremely fearful and wouldn’t let anyone near her. In fact, she has only recently started allowing us to pet her.
She gets along well with other dogs and cats, but when we first tried taking her for a walk on a leash, she completely froze, so we haven’t tried again. We’re not sure if she’s ready to travel by plane yet, but she is also available for adoption, and if someone is willing to help her, that would be wonderful.
Luna used to live alone in an empty lot. She would only come out at night, when there were no people around, to look for food. Neighbors told us that they would sometimes hear her crying, and that she stayed there through the rain, heat, and everything else, always hiding. That’s why we had to rescue her with a trap. We even shared the rescue video in our posts.
She is currently in a foster home with other dogs, and they are working with her. It’s their first time caring for a case this fearful and distrustful, but she has already made great progress.
If she were to be adopted, her new home would need to be completely secure, with a fully enclosed yard and no possibility of escape.”
