Rescue Story :
Maple was hit by a car right outside her home, and sadly, her family refused to provide her with veterinary care or support when she needed them the most. Thanks to
the generosity of our community, we were able to cover her medical expenses and
offer her a safe place to recover. Shortly after, David came into her life. He wasn’t sure if he could adopt, so he became her foster dad and gave her a loving temporary home. While David ultimately decided that his lifestyle wasn’t the right fit
for Maple because of his travels, he gave her the chance to grow into the amazing
dog she is today and will keep her until the right family is found.

Story and summary:
On Maple’s first day in her foster home, her foster dad had this to say:
“She settled in quickly—calmly lying on her back with her paws in the air. I had four friends over for a guitar session, and she was great with everyone. Later, two more visitors came, and she was just as friendly. She’s been spending a lot of time outside, occasionally barking at the wind when it moves things around. But overall, she’s been even better than I expected!” Maple is a playful and intelligent pup. She learned to lie down in just three days and mastered shaking paws just as quickly. She would be a perfect addition to a family with kids! Since she’s still a puppy, she has the typical habit of nibbling on things and occasionally getting into the garbage if left out. She has chewed a few things, but only when left alone at home outside of her
kennel. To prevent this, her foster dad either puts her in her kennel or lets her stay in the yard when he steps out for a short time. At night, Maple isn’t confined to her kennel, but she chooses to sleep in it with the door open. Around 6 AM, she comes out on her own, ready to go outside and start her day. She is also pretty well house-trained and hasn’t had an accident in a long time. Maple absolutely loves going for walks and enjoys meeting every person and animal she comes across. She has a bright, social personality and thrives on interaction and play. Before arriving at her foster home, Maple lived at the clinic in a shelter-like environment, where most human interactions happened in the mornings, with little to no engagement in the evenings. Despite this, she always had an energetic and friendly spirit. She especially loved playing with our most active dogs—they could spend hours chasing each other and gently wrestling.
Whoever adopts Maple will be getting a sweet, affectionate, and fun-loving companion. She’sready to find her forever home!
No medical concerns.
Perfil de Adoptante / Profile of the adopter:
Maple is a playful, social, and energetic puppy who would thrive in an active and loving home. She would do especially well with a family that enjoys outdoor activities like walking, playing, and spending time in the yard. Since she’s still young and curious, her ideal family should be patient and willing to continue reinforcing good habits, keeping things like garbage and chewable items out of reach when unattended.
She loves people, including children, and gets along well with other dogs, making her a great fit for a home with kids or other pets. A family that appreciates her affectionate and playful nature will find a loyal and fun-loving companion in Maple.
With consistent guidance and plenty of love, Maple will be the perfect addition to a home ready to embrace her joyful energy and sweet personality!
