đź“š Rescue Story :
Ollie checked himself to Kan’s free spay and neuter campaign in May. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to have surgery because his condition: too skinny, full of ticks… He stayed the day and night in a kennel, and the next day he received a very-needed bath full of love. After that Ollie slept like the baby he is for the entire day at the campaign grounds.
The stars aligned and our super foster Melissa, who was also volunteering at the campaign, arranged everything at home to take him temporarily.
Since then Ollie has had the chance to enjoy the life that every dog wants, needs and deserves in Melissa’s home being temporarily part of Melissa’s beautiful family.
Foster assessment
With Melissa’s (foster mom) own words: Ollie is a wonderful puppy. He is playful but not crazy playful. He loves all his dog toys and is still learning what is and what is not a toy. Thankfully he doesn’t chew anything, he just grabs the occasional sock.
He is very social with his dog siblings and with people. Has not been tested with cats or kids, but we believe he would love kids since he is very playful and not skittish.
Melissa has been teaching him proper mouthing etiquette, teaching him not to bite fingers, feet or face during their plays. Ollie has participated in some fundraising activities where he meets lots of people at once and has done amazing in what could be a stressful environment. He rides just fine in the car, will stay still and lie down.
He is housebroken and will touch your feet to let you know he needs to go potty outside (so cute). With his leash etiquette, he still needs to practice more… he is a bit wild and will pull a lot at first, but a few minutes after the walk he will settle and enjoy <3
Ollie absolutely loves cuddles and to get pampered, he is a sweet fun-loving dog that will be a great addition to a family or couple.
