Rita is a stunning sleek black panther who came to us from the government who had ceased her from an abandoned house and they thought as a mostly black dog they couldn’t find her a home, so she sat in the patio of the government offices for over a year…until they learned about us and thankfully she’s now in a healthier space.
Rita is a little shy at first, but a goofball at heart. She has a hilarious trick of standing on her back legs for a really long time with no support, she’s playful with the dogs, shy only at first when she meets them. She is generally passive but is capable of telling them where to go if they are overbearing.
She loves cuddles and is becoming the princess of the rescue center more and more every day.
We can’t think of a single reason why someone would abandon her like they did, but now she’s trusting humans again we’ve promised her we will find her the BEST home ever.
